fashion, style, and stupid teenagers.

well well well. its amazing the kind of shit that has been going on for the past 5 years. whats also amazing is the amount of people who dont know how much shit has been going on.

this is just stuff I can't understand. WHY do people think that reading the news is boring? WHY do people think that what happens outside of their daily routine doesnt effect them? its so fucking frustrating that is is OUR generation that NEEDS to bring change, but at the same time its OUR generation that is being absorbed into that which we need to change. buy your 'independent' shirts even though you have no clue that all they make are metal molds used for skateboarding. but theyre trendy, so who gives a fuck.. right?

our generation (people ages 18-30) are being bombarded by all sorts of pointless, unimaginably useless SHIT every day. do you really need to buy that band hooded shirt for 55 bucks? or can you settle for the plain colored one for 15? nope, the cool kids are doing it so you have to spend your hard-earned (or hard-given-to-you-by-mom-and-dad) money on something absolutely pointless. and that is image.

now what I love BEST are the people who say they 'dont judge a book by its cover' (when referring to searching for that significant other) but then they concern themselves so much with image. they don't give a fuck what their 'other' looks like, but theyre so concerned with how 'they' appear. come on folks, youre shallower than a fucking wading pool.

this is why i love it when people ask me how i dress. what style, what do you wear, etc. well i never have an answer, because, well, i simply don't give a fuck. when I wake up in the morning, my first thought isn't 'what am I going to wear today,' its more along the lines of 'what can I do today to fuck over our current administration' ... okay maybe thats my second or third though, my first is usually something dealing with time.
now does this mean i wear flamboyantly colored variations that are painful to the eyes? no, it doesnt mean that. style and image aren't the same thing. you can have style without having to conform to an image. but my real main point is this: everyone needs their own style, yes, i agree. variety is the spice of life, as they say. but to achieve that style, do you really need to buy the 100 dollar pair of shoes, the 60 dollar pants, trendy 50+ dollar swearshirts, and get haircuts that cost way more than they need to?

CALIFORNIA voted only 55% to 44% in favor of kerry. what the fuck?? 44% of registered californians PREFER BUSH TO JOHN KERRY? FUCK ALL OF YOU.

NBC and fox news both fucked up, AGAIN. just this time they didnt have their balls put in a vice like in 2000.

my prediction for a republican presidential candidate in 2008 is none other than arnold schwarzenegger. just watch.

it was about noon when the phone rang. it was a frantic neighbor asking us if the hill across from my house was on fire. I looked out and all I saw was black smoke. that was all I saw, NOTHING else. I run out the front door to half the neighborhood going fucking crazy because my neighbors house, directly across the street from mine, is on fire. i thought the world was ending. it was mid afternoon and about 100 degreees in the sun. theres no way in hell they can save the house. about this time a cop comes mobbing up the street, stops in front of my house, asks if everyone is out. my neighbor answers yes. by now the fire had caught one of their cars ( a suburban ) and half of their garage on fire, as well as everything in front of their garage. i walk down towards their house a little more and see the car is on fire. i have never seen a car on fire before, but ill tell you a burning car not something you want to be in. it was about this time that i heard a loud pop. one of the tires just blew up. it didnt pop, it didnt melt, it BLEW UP. now, i thought, what else is in a car that blows up? oh yeah, a thing called a FUCKING GAS TANK. a few minutes after the tire blew up the windows started blowing out. i was hoping the gas tank would not explode, because if it did it would explode the *TWO OTHER SUVS PARKED NEXT TO IT* and pretty much burn the entire neighborhood to the ground.

fortunately the gas tank did not blow up, and the firefighters, after getting lost trying to find the address, showed up and doused the entire area code in water, i guess fearing sparks might ignite nearby dry grass.

after it was all over, no one was hurt, and my neighbors had their suburban gutted, along with their garage and everything in it. as i write this i try to find some sort of reasoning, some sort of lesson there is to be learned. but there isnt. i am hesitant to say that this was simply gods wrath.mother natures dangerous beauty. there wasnt much they could have done to prevent it. it could have been my parents car (okay, maybe not, since i would have thrown my life in the way of the fire to save it) and it could have been my house that was burning. it was simply chance that our house faces west, not east.

5-6 hours later, when firemen, police, photographers, and EMTS/ambulances had left, and my neighbors had been asked "if they ever need anything.." about 706,891 times, my somewhat arrogant neighbors were left with a halfway charred house and a burnt car in their driveway.

until this morning, when an insurance claims guy and 2 HUGE renovation trucks appeared outside when i awoke, about 11:30.this was too much, since 3 of my neighbors are re-doing their houses at the EXACT same time, which means if i leave to go to the fucking post office, i come back and theres some big dodge ram or some ford truck in my spot, which is practically recognized by the entire neighborhood as "my spot".

so i went to game 5 tonight. a's vs red sox. ended up yelling my ass off the whole game. we had hella rowdy raiders fans around us so it was sick. a shame we didnt win. i saw some red sox fans get a lashing though =/. in the mens room after the game.

reasons we didnt win:
?tejada stopping on his round towards home in which mueller obstructed his run in game 3
?byrnes not tagging home plate in game 3
?everyone not playing like Guillen did. fuck chavez, tejada or zito I want ^that^ guys jersey
?they left zito in one inning too long. if they had put the under-hander in one inning earlier they would have won. zito did good at first, very good, but you could see he was struggling WAY before ramirez hit the 3 runner.
